About Custard Apple
A custard apple is a sweet, creamy fruit with a thick, bumpy skin and soft, white, seedy flesh, known locally as Sitaphal or Sharifa. It is botanically called Annona squamosa and is rich in vitamins and minerals like Vitamin C, manganese, and potassium. The fruit is delicious eaten fresh, but parts of the plant, such as the leaves, are also used in traditional medicine, while the seeds are toxic if ingested.
